Spooky goings on at the Bistro!
26th October 2020
We know Halloween will look a wee bit different this year, and as such we've put together a few things to keep your wee ones entertained, and provide a bit of spooky fun for the whole family!
If you're worried about your wee ones missing out on guising (trick or treatiing!) this Halloween - we're here to help! If you're stopping by Bistro To Go or dining with us on Saturday 31st, bring the kids along in their festive outfits and our team of witches and wizards will be on hand to reward them with a wee bag of sweets and an apple, fresh from Saughton Park in celebration of Apple Week!
Not able to join us at the Bistro? Email* us a pic of your wee one in their costume to email@example.com and the best dressed winner will receive a bag of Halloween treats and a £30 voucher to spend in the Bisttro on a future visit!
*By emailing us a photo, you consent to The Garden Bistro using it on our website and social media channels. Winner will be announced on Monday 2nd November.
Pumpkin carving competition
Our pals at The Friends of Saughton Park are running a virtual pumpkin carving competition this year. It's time to get creative and come up with your very best Halloween pumpkin! Email a photo of your spooky creation to firstname.lastname@example.org by 8 pm on Friday 30th October.
There are two age categories - 11 and under and over 11. Please let them know which one you are entering. Councillor Ashley Graczyk will be judging the winning pumpkin on Saturday 31 October and the winners will be notified shortly afterwards.
Tasty treats at the Bistro!
In need of a sweet treat? In addition to our daily selection of pastries, traybakes and cakes, we've got some spook-tastic chocolate crispies available at Bistro To Go or as a post-lunch (or breakfast?!) treat when dining-in.
You may have noticed some changes to our booking system - you can now easily select a table for either outdoor (there are environmentally-friendly heaters!) or indoor dining.
